I was a member of various ensembles during my college years (‘99-04) in Eau Claire, Wisconsin: Symphonic Band trumpet and percussion section, Wind Ensemble trumpet section, Marching Band trumpet and drumline section, and Jazz Band lead trumpet and solo chairs. Also I often performed locally with various small jazz combos, rock/blues, funk, and brass groups.
I was also part of a popular annual variety show called Cabaret that was created and composed by student arrangers and choreographers.
I have toured and/or performed with, Kids From Wisconsin, Valleyfair Beach Band, High & Mighty funk band, and as a soloist at various Churches around the Minneapolis, MN area.
In 2004, I was part of a project featuring Ray Charles’ daughter, Sheila Charles, based in Minneapolis. I lead the horn section, arranged and transcribed a number of tunes, and performed live in Minneapolis.
From 2005 to 2008 I traveled to over 35 countries around the world playing trumpet (and some drums, guitar, and bass). I was a Musical Director and orchestra member for Royal Caribbean International Cruise Lines. I performed nightly in many ¨Vegas-Style¨ variety shows, Broadway-Style Productions Shows, Big Band and Jazz gigs. I also performed with over 50 different headliner and celebrity acts of all musical genres.
After working for Royal Caribbean I lived in Madrid, Spain and performed locally at jazz clubs and with local musicians: guitarist and singer-songwriter Martin Page and vocalist Daniela Ruiz.
